Recently I have some chances to attend courses about Gear technology in Industrial Technology Research Institute ( 工業技術研究院)  located in Taichung. The classes held in Chinese, so it's a bit tough for me to follow, but still I found it interesting. In this post, I am trying to compile information about GEAR and hope this will be useful. A. It is widely believed that investing in gold is safe. No matter how low the value, it will bounce back to it's original price or even higher. Based on below chart , gold's price is indeed up and down. In around 1980sh it reached the highest price which is USD1800 per ounce. It then got lower and lower that in year 2001 the price was only USD400. Further, it's price was climbing up and reached again USD1800 in year 2011. So it needs around 30yrs for gold to be back to the same highest price after the decline. First conclusion is then if one patient enough to wait, buying gold anytime should be fine.
