BEST BRAISED PORK RICE IN TAIPEI

金峰魯肉飯Jinfeng Braised Meat Rice

Located nearby Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall Station, this restaurant is quite busy. It opens everyday from 8Am to 1Am, and quite normal to see long queue in around lunch or dinner time especially during holiday time or weekend, the crowd not only Taiwanese but also foreigners.

The specialty of the restaurant is the braised pork rice, in chinese it is called by Lu Rou Fan (魯肉飯), traditional dishes of Taiwan. The prices are also reasonable, like two big bowls of braised pork, two bowls of chicken soups, vegetables, and egg cost at around 255NTD (~8USD).

If you happen to visit Taipei and wanted to try the local food, this braised pork (if you can eat pork) is a must try. Here is the menu, it`s in mandarin, if you wish to know the name in English, comment below which one do you like to know, I`ll try to translate it for you.

One of youtubers with an account name "strictly dumpling" made a video of the restaurant, it seems that the restaurant has an english menu, so for you who will be visiting the restaurant, don`t worry about the chinese character. :)
